Nigeria: Things Falling Apart In Ekiti House

Now, things have fallen apart, and the centre cannot hold. The hitherto utilitycooperation, had been one of the major factors that led to the successful change of leadership of the House, leading to the election of the current Speaker, farewell present ideas Tunji Odeyemi.
The first thing that is causing a major ripple in the House, since then, is the constitution of the State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC). While the Action Congress (AC) has rejected the present body as not properly constituted, their Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counterparts are singing a different tune.
The second grouse is that the AC lawmakers want the local government election fixed for December 20, bronze anniversary present 2008 to be shifted, subjonctif present etre to give room for a fresh process for the SIEC constitution so that the election would be credible. They are insisting that present SIEC committee has fallen short of constitutional requirements. But their PDP colleagues also disagree.
In factthey are accusing the AC members of deliberately distorting facts to mislead the public on the issue.
